I spun around and a smile instantly filled my face as I gazed upon the Archangel I had called here.


His soft golden blonde hair ruffled in the warm breeze, deep sapphire blue eyes locked on my own, huge majestic white owl wings folded behind his bare perfectly tanned chest. He wore only white jeans and a silver cross with a sapphire embedded in the centre.

“Gabriel”

even I could hear the tender soft tone to my voice as I gaze upon my secret love.
I was gay.
Homosexuality was forbidden.
As far as I knew Gabriel obeyed every rule.
But he had to know my feelings!

Gabriel moved forward towards me his bare feet making no sound on the springy grass. My eyes became entranced as I watched him. His movements never failed to awe me. Sure every angel was graceful… but Gabriel… He moved with an unmatchable grace as if every minuscule movement was delicately placed.

He stood right in front of me now looking up at me, blinking those beautiful sapphire eyes of his.

“You wished to see me Oh Brother?” he asked his voice gave new meaning to the word harmonic.

Oh that’s right… Did I mention that I am considered Gabriel’s brother? Yeah just thought I’d add that to my list of problems…

“I wanted to tell you a secret, Gabriel” I whispered, wondering if he wonder as to why I never named him my brother. He probably did, not much got past Gabriel.

Gabriel’s eyes scanned my face, obviously curious about my secret; I smiled despite my growing nervousness. He was always curious, always wanting to know more.

Taking a deep calming breath I cupped both of Gabriel’s cheeks in my hands watching as he blinked in surprise, his eyes locked on mine.

It was his eyes that made me make the final move, his gaze made me feel as if only I mattered. No one else, not The Lord, not our brother Michael, no angels, no one. Just me.

Just us…

Slowly I nudged my face closer, barely noticing the frown that creased his forehead.

Our lips touched.
